The Global Rotogravure Association (GRA) has added India-based Kody Equipments Pvt. Ltd. and UK-based RK PrintCoat Instruments Ltd. to its membership, broadening its expertise across flexible packaging machinery, print testing and coating development.
Kody Equipments, headquartered in Ahmedabad, designs, manufactures and exports printing and converting machinery for flexible packaging production. Its portfolio includes rotogravure presses, solventless, solvent-based and combination laminators, slitter rewinders, inspection and doctoring rewinders, accessories and spare parts.
The company has more than 25 years of industry experience and reports an installed base of over 1,500 machines across international markets. Its membership brings production-scale gravure printing, laminating and converting expertise to the association.
Established in 1962, RK PrintCoat Instruments develops laboratory, proofing, testing and pilot-scale equipment for the printing, coating and converting industries. Its systems support research and development, quality control, colour matching, printability testing and process development.
RK’s equipment ranges from laboratory coating and proofing units to multi-coating and reel-to-reel pilot systems. The technology is used in gravure, flexographic and other printing and coating processes involving inks, flexible packaging, films, foils, adhesives, barrier coatings and printed electronics.
The two additions extend GRA’s network across complementary areas of packaging development: Kody focuses on commercial printing and converting machinery, while RK supplies equipment for testing materials, preparing samples and validating processes before production.
GRA said the companies’ respective experience in gravure production and laboratory-scale development would contribute additional technical knowledge to its international member community.
